VANGUARDS - Morris Oxford Series VI

This will be the first of many Vanguards cars i will put on my blog, right from the very first models they produced I have been a keen collector, especially anything with Rover or MG on the badge, but generally anything that can trace it's roots back from MG-Rover, back through Austin-Rover, Morris, Riley, Wolseley, MG, Rover and so on and so on.

This model here is of the Morris Oxford Series VI, and was in fact the car that was used for the Cowley works centenary convoy, and was the lead car, Cowley was the factory that produced Morris models for decades, until Morris was closed, and the final model, the Morris Ital, was its death knell.

This model is VA05407 and is in a beautiful Trafalgar Blue, it is limited to just 1000 models with this being number 0663 and is a Corgi Collector Club Members Exclusive model, the look and feel of this car takes you back to an era that was great in British motoring, it is extremely well made, with jewelled lights, working suspension, wing mounted mirrors, authentic number plates and logos.
