VANGUARDS - Austin A30

Now, this is an early Vanguards model, note the plastic covers for the lights and there is no working suspension, also the wheels are not independent, and by that i mean the the front two and rear two are set, so no single wheel movement, like the more modern Vanguards.

Its not one of my favourites, but it does have a charm, it was made by Austin under the BMC (British Motor Corporation) banner, it was a successful model too, with over 220,000 being made, in its lifetime, today that would be seen as a failure, but back then it was very good indeed. The Vanguards is very basic, but its cute, in a way that lots of the small Austin's of the time were.

Like the other listed so far, this was to be a Plinth project so it is without all it;s paperwork and box, but it does sit nicely on display.
