MATCHBOX - 1997 Land Rover 110 Defender
This has to be one of my favourite casting in small scale that i have ever owned, I have a large number of Land Rover Defender 110 castings and this yellow one with the genuine land rover badging on the door is by far the best one, the modern dot dash wheels along with the moulding on the roof with winch and spare wheel just makes this one, one of the best Matchbox has ever done.
There is no opening parts, which is a real shame, as an opening boot or front doors would just set this model apart from anything else on the market, but as it stands i am more than happy with what i have got here. matchbox has had a good relationship with Land Rover, they did teh MK1 Freelander, and the 90 County, they are also doing the Range Rover Evoque and just this last week we hear that they are not doing the LR4, or Discovery 4 as we call it in the UK, this news along with other news and changes has proven that matchbox has really lost its way, too much generic ghastly coloured rubbish.
