Vanguards had a purge on Ford models, and this, the Consul 3000 GT, in Lancashire Constabulary treatment is one of their better attempts, better known as the Granada MK I, and in my opinion, the best Granada of all four versions (if you include the ghastly Scorpio ugly bug which killed off the Ford large car). Ford had, and still has a very good relationship with the UK police, and they supply many thousands of vehicles to all the branches of the UK law enforcement.
This model, VA55000, is not a limited Edition, and was the launch model for Vanguards, and what a stunning example to launch with, the working suspension, plastic lights and police adornments really do make this stand out.
