2015 Matchbox line up, some good, mostly Bad, and more awful...

For me the highlights will be the, Presidential Limo bottom row left,  TESLA model S, bottom row, right, Porsche Caymen, third row second in, the Ford cargo truck, second row third in, BMW 5-Series police (just to look, hate beemers) top row second in, and Lambo top row far right.

Shame there is still NO news on the range Rover Evoque, and the dumping of the Land Rover LR4

  1. For the 2015 line up and to some extent I'd like to be able to get hold of the BMW 5 Series cop car,Meter Maid, generic beach buggy,Tesla Model S,certainly or especially,I like to be able to purchase the Cadillac One Limo and the GHE-O rescue vehicle (simply because it's Romanian),in fact,I only have Matchbox brand models of generic,American,Australian,British,Dutch (DAF trucks),French,German,Italian,Japanese and Swedish vehicles.

I want to point out that when I searched a list of Matchbox 2015 vehicles on wiki that some of the vehicles I discovered listed are models of a 1960 Chevrolet Corvair,1974 Dodge Monaco police car,1990 Mazda Miata and a 2004 Rolls Royce Phantom however I wonder if that site is reliable, furthermore, those vehicles I listed do personally appeal to me.

Finally even though this site concerns the '15 Matchbox models I thought I'd point out that for the 2014 line up I'd like to be able to purchase the Alfa Romeo 4C and speaking of 2014 models when I discovered a model of a Dodge Charger Albuqerqe police car that it's an exclusive model and when I inquired about this car to a Matchbox representative I regret to inform that that car could be purchased at a Hot Wheels convention held in Albuqerqe,New Mexico,USA but not at retailers including in my country (Canada) however you may still be able to purchase them on e-bay but the problem is that this model of a Dodge Charger cop car is expensive to purchase on-line and on top of that for someone like me to be able to make online purchases is complicated so therefore I wish that the president or c.e.o. of Mattel could have ensured that they be sold in the mainline packaging but no so due to a possible agreement he or she had with convention officials in New Mexico.

  2. There are always special convention models, usually 2 per event, and at least 2 events per year, now, if you can get hold of those models good, but if not dont worry, I currently have a few, and they cost me lots, but they are so far from the mainline, in regards of quality, full tampo, attacjed to a plastic base and with a perspex display dome.

With regards to the other points you made IGNORE Wiki, its crap at the best of times, and is generally added too by anyone, who wants to see their favouritie models, i even id that a few years back, and to say it caused some debate was an understatement, with regards to Mattel, dont go there, because i will get angry, they have screwed Matchbox into the ground, to the point it is looking like it will be hard to get out of, in fact, i would not be surprised if Mattel had it in mind to get rid of teh small scale lines in favour of the horrid Hot Wheels brand.

    1. What do you mean you will get angry if someone "goes" to Mattel? When you Mr Mower commented that Mattel has screwed Matchbox into the ground does that mean that there is an unfortunate possibility that those Matchbox vehicles I listed (excluding the Wiki site) will be hard to find in stores that specialize in Matchbox products because if so that would be terrible to say the least if they won't sell what I'm looking for.

What you probably should know that when I spoke to a Mattel representative and inquired why Matchbox products are not as often restocked as Hot Wheels products (since they are both subsidiaries of Mattel) and the representative claimed something like that they are distributed to wholesalers but it's the retailers who decide if they want to receive them in fact she suggested that I ask a local retailer(s) when they should expect Matchbox products to be restocked in their stores so I hope the retail industry isn't considering ditching Matchbox vehicles otherwise they' d be crazy in my opinion.

I must have forgotten to point out that other Matchbox vehicles for the 2014 line up that I like to purchase(if I'm ever lucky to find them) are the civilian version of a BMW motorbike, model of a Dodge Charger Boone County Sheriff car and a Ford Police Interceptor Marshal car and finally whoever is posting false claims for the Matchbox 2015 line up ought to be ashamed of himself or herself.

    2. I meant to type whoever is posting false claims on the Wiki site for the Matchbox 2015 line up.

    3. Mattel has screwed matchbox over, FACT, i suggest you visit a number of Matchbox specific forums, and you will see quite clearly how people view Mattel, they have the opportunity to push the brand, but dont, they have the opoportunity to offer teh products worldwide, but they dont, I have spoken at leangth with Toys R Us UK, and they have clearly stated that it is not a case of then NOT wanting to stock the products, but Mattel make it difficult, and offer the blue range cheaper.

i have found locating matchbox extremely difficult, with a large amount of toy stores not stocking them because of past issues, teh range a few years ago was rubbish, with stupid models with animal faces and so on, sales plumetted, now they have a better range, but stores still wont stock, because they dont want to get stuffed with models that wont sell.

Also Mattel, keep changing dates, cancelling models, not issuing lists and so on, so thats another reason why they are not interested, i dont blame them, if you dont like that i cant do anything about it, but thats my opinion on my blog, and i stand by my comments.

    4. Well okay Jon certain things are beyond your control if you know what I'm referring to but rest assured that at times I blame Mattel for giving me the "runaround" and other times I wonder if I should blame the retail industries' distribution center for not receiving the so called better range that for whatever reason they claim will not sell whatsoever or perhaps won't sell as well as they should and finally if it's true that Mattel keeps changing dates etc than they are bewildering and frustrating some collectors and I guess even children who find these up to date Matchbox vehicles appealing.Enough said for now.

  3. Jon after rereading your comment dated Oct 21st I decided to ask you why would I expect you to do anything about these matters when you're not the president or c.e.o. of Mattel, nor are you a Mattel representative if I ain't mistaken.Am I a bit frustrated that so far I can't find those Matchbox vehicles I'm searching for? Yes I am. Would I hold you responsible? No I wouldn't so if anything I either blame Mattel or the retail industry or even the wholesalers for this situation.Peace.

  4. I think it's relevant to this topic but on a more positive note I've been able to purchase the Matchbox brand school buses(forget their names),BMW civilian motorbikes, die cast Dodge Charger Boone County Sheriff cars and the die cast Ford Police Interceptor Marshall cars so it's therefore nice to know that Matchbox isn't a total disappointment depending on what a consumer likes.

    1. Hi Mr. Anonymous. I agree with your points of view. The only thing that I want to say; is there's so hard to get that oficial info about all the 2015 Matchbox. About that Mbx screwed HW, it's not true. Both are simply so cool brands; for me. But well, i'm just saying all this, because I,m from paraguay, and I can't get all the models, because those coys aren't too famous. Anyways, right now, we're trying to concrete a real collectors club here in my country. Well, thanks for your point of view, I apreciate it. Greetings from Paraguay.
